Golden Hour Magic: A Romantic Engagement Session at Picnic Rock in Bellvue, CO

This October, I had the pleasure of photographing Kyle and Cullen’s engagement session at the stunning Picnic Rock Natural Area in Bellvue, Colorado. I’m so excited to share this session because not only was the location absolutely breathtaking, but this sweet couple is also booked with me for their wedding in October 2025! Meeting them before their big day was such a joy, and it was a perfect opportunity to help them feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

Kyle and Cullen’s connection is so genuine and heartfelt. Throughout the session, Cullen’s adoration for Kyle was evident in every glance and gesture. It’s always such a privilege to witness and capture a love like theirs. You can tell they’re best friends who deeply care for one another, and it shines through in every photo.

We couldn’t have chosen a better location for their engagement session. Picnic Rock Natural Area provided a serene and picturesque backdrop, with its dramatic rock formations and the peaceful river that winds through the area. The fall colors were in full display, adding vibrant pops of yellow and orange to the scenery. The golden hour light only enhanced the beauty of the moment, casting a warm glow that made everything feel even more magical.

Kyle and Cullen’s outfits complemented the natural setting perfectly. Kyle’s flowy dress and Cullen’s laid-back but polished look brought an effortless elegance to the session. They were naturals in front of the camera, laughing and enjoying every moment together, which made my job so much easier. By the end of our time together, I could tell they were even more relaxed and ready to rock their wedding portraits next year.

This session was a reminder of why I love what I do. Capturing love stories in such beautiful settings and getting to know couples like Kyle and Cullen fills my heart with so much joy. I can’t wait to see them again in October 2025 and document the next chapter of their journey together.
