Mountains, Mist, and the Magic of Two Souls in Love

When Gemi and Jeff first reached out to me through one of the Colorado bridal Facebook groups, I could instantly tell they were something special. Both originally from Texas, they’ve always shared a deep love for the mountains—so much so that they chose Colorado as the backdrop for their wedding day. And what better way to celebrate that choice than with an engagement session right here among the peaks?

In mid-April, they made the trip up from Texas to tour their venue and meet with me for their engagement session. It was such a joy to finally meet them in person and capture their connection before their big day. Despite the cloudy skies and lack of sunshine, these two brought so much warmth and energy to the shoot that it hardly mattered. If anything, the overcast weather added a romantic, moody glow to the mountains that made their session feel even more intimate and timeless.

Gemi and Jeff showed up in beautiful traditional outfits that reflected their style and love story perfectly. They were naturals in front of the camera—playful, affectionate, and completely in sync. It was such an honor to document this moment in their journey, and watching them together only made me more excited for their upcoming wedding.

Sometimes the most magical memories are made when things don’t go exactly as planned, and this session was a perfect reminder of that. Gemi and Jeff, thank you for trusting me to capture this chapter of your love story. I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding day with you soon!
