A Magical Winter Wedding: Officiating a Snowy “I Do” at The Pines by Wedgewood Weddings

When Shannon and Andrew first reached out to me through Facebook, I had no idea I was about to be part of such a beautiful and unforgettable celebration. They generously gave me the opportunity to officiate their wedding—free of charge—as I continue to grow my experience in the wedding world. That act alone showed me how kind-hearted and supportive they were, and it was clear from our very first meeting that this was going to be something special.

From the start, we clicked instantly. In just one conversation, we were able to start crafting a ceremony that truly reflected their relationship—one full of warmth, laughter, and deep connection. Shannon and Andrew were incredibly sweet and thoughtful every step of the way. They were also very communicative, which made working together on their script feel effortless and fun. We collaborated closely to make sure their ceremony felt authentic, meaningful, and completely them.

Their wedding took place at The Pines by Wedgewood Weddings, nestled in the Colorado mountains. Although the day brought snow and icy temperatures, none of that could dim the love between them. Watching Shannon and Andrew exchange vows with snow gently falling around us was like stepping into a real-life fairytale. The chilly air was no match for the warmth between them—and honestly, I don’t think any of us noticed the cold once the ceremony began.

It was such an honor to stand beside them as they promised forever to one another. I left their wedding with a full heart, grateful not only for the experience, but for having met such a genuine and loving couple.
