Colorado’s Most Beautiful Photoshoot & Wedding Locations Map

Planning your engagement session, elopement, or wedding in Colorado and feeling overwhelmed by all the location options?

You’re not alone.

One of the biggest questions I get as a Colorado wedding photographer is:
“Where should we take our engagement photos?”
Or…
“Do you know any beautiful ceremony spots with mountain views?”

After years of photographing couples across Colorado, I decided to make it simple.

So I created something just for you.

Introducing: My Free Interactive Colorado Wedding & Photoshoot Locations Map

This isn’t just a random list of pretty places. It’s a carefully curated collection of:

  • Engagement session locations

  • Scenic mountain backdrops

  • Lakes and water views

  • Meadows and nature spots

  • Urban and downtown settings

  • Hidden gems

  • Wedding venues I personally love

These are photographer-approved locations I’ve either shot at, scouted, or specifically selected because they photograph beautifully.

And the best part?
It’s completely free.

Why I Created This Map for Couples

As a photographer based in Colorado (and someone who spends way too much time chasing good light), I’ve explored so many incredible spots across the state.

But I know that when you're planning a wedding, adding “research every possible photoshoot location” to your to-do list is the last thing you need.

You already have:

  • Venues to tour

  • Vendors to book

  • Guest lists to manage

  • Decor to decide on

Your location shouldn’t feel like guesswork.

This map gives you instant access to beautiful, proven spots — whether you're planning:

  • An engagement session

  • Bridal portraits

  • An elopement

  • Or your full wedding day

What Makes This Map Different?

This isn’t Pinterest inspiration.
This is real-life, logistics-aware, lighting-considered guidance.

Inside the map, you’ll find a clear legend so you can easily filter what fits your vision:

  • 🌊 Lakes & Water

  • 🏔 Mountain Views

  • 🌾 Meadow & Nature

  • 🏙 Urban & Downtown

  • ✨ Hidden Gems

  • 💍 Wedding Venues

So whether you're dreaming of dramatic alpine peaks or a romantic downtown vibe, you can quickly narrow down your style.

Pro Tips for the Best Photos (From a Photographer)

When you open the map, you’ll also see a few of my favorite insider tips:

Best light for photos is usually:

  • Sunrise for quiet locations and soft light

  • Golden hour (1–2 hours before sunset)

  • Weekdays for popular spots to avoid crowds

Lighting can completely transform how your photos feel. A busy mountain overlook at 2pm in July looks very different than that same spot at golden hour on a Tuesday.

That’s the kind of detail I think about for you.

How to Use the Interactive Map

It’s super simple:

  2. Open it in the Google Maps app

You can even share your saved spots with your fiancé, family, or planner to start narrowing things down together.

Not Sure Which Location Fits Your Vision?

That’s where I come in.

Choosing a location isn’t just about what’s pretty — it’s about:

  • How far you want to hike

  • What season you’re planning for

  • Accessibility for guests

  • Permits (yes, some spots require them!)

  • Timeline and lighting

When you book me, I don’t just show up with a camera. I help you plan a location and timeline that feels intentional, natural, and effortless.

I specialize in creating images that feel:

  • Elegant

  • Timeless

  • Authentic

  • Joyful

  • True to you

If you’re still looking for a photographer for your engagement session, elopement, or wedding day, I would truly love to help you bring your vision to life.
