Mackenzie & Zach | Livermore, CO Wedding

There is something so special about getting to know a couple before their wedding day, and it was such a joy to reconnect with Mackenzie and Zach after their engagement session back in July. By the time their wedding arrived on August 31, it felt like I was celebrating alongside friends.

The day began tucked away in the quiet beauty of rural Livermore, just a few miles up winding backroads into the northern Front Range. Their ceremony took place at the groom’s parents’ property — a hidden gem with one of the most incredible backyard views. The peaceful setting and sweeping mountain backdrop made it the perfect place for such a meaningful start to their day.

We began the morning with getting-ready portraits of the girls, followed by the guys. One of the most emotional moments came during Mackenzie’s first look with her dad, which was immediately followed by her first look with Zach. These quiet, intentional moments gave them time to soak everything in together before the celebration truly began.

After their first look, we headed out for bridal portraits with just the two of them. The scenery and the way they looked at each other made this time feel effortless and so genuine. From there, we brought the wedding party outside for group portraits, followed by family photos — all completed before the ceremony. I always love when couples choose this timeline because it allows the rest of the day to flow naturally without feeling rushed.

With portraits finished, it was time for the ceremony, set against the stunning backdrop of the property. Surrounded by family, friends, and mountain views, Mackenzie and Zach said their vows in a setting that felt both intimate and unforgettable.

After a brief cocktail hour at the property, the celebration moved back to Fort Collins for the reception in the Agave Room at Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant.

The evening kicked off with a lively grand entrance, followed by the couple’s first dance and sweet parent dances for both Mackenzie and Zach. One of the most fun surprises of the night came when the couple changed into custom wedding T-shirts and started tossing them out to their guests — such a unique and personal touch that instantly energized the room.

Dinner was followed by heartfelt speeches, cake cutting, and then the dance floor officially opened. From that moment on, the energy never slowed down. The dance floor stayed packed, the laughter was constant, and the entire evening had such a fun, celebratory vibe. It was the kind of reception that reminds you how joyful wedding days truly are.

Mackenzie and Zach’s wedding was the perfect blend of intimate moments, personal touches, and an unforgettable party. I’m so honored I got to capture their day and tell the story of a celebration that was as beautiful as it was fun.
